Project Challenges
• Another challenge of the excavation was the need to support the load-bearing exterior wall as the footing needed to be undermined during excavation.
Design Approach
• Structural engineers original design called for helical piers to be installed, however, the equipment required in order to reach required loads made the installation in the basement near impossible
• Eagle Lift proposed, and EOR agreed, to go with commercial-grade Safe Base push piers to support the footing during the excavation process.

Results
• The SoilPure grout permeated the sands as anticipated and successfully “glued” the sands together allowing the excavation crew to safely excavate the elevation pit without collapse.
