Project Challenges
• 150 linear feet of drainage channel had developed voids under the concrete panels
• Water in parts was traveling under the panels rather than over during rain events, leading to settlement
• The County was seeking a cost-effective solution to extend the life of the drainage structure and avoid the cost of rip and replacement.
Design Approach
• Injections were placed on a 4-foot grid along the bottom of the drainage structure as well as halfway up the side walls
